About Us

The School of Business at UNSW@ADFA offers a supportive, stimulating and friendly environment for students to pursue their studies at undergraduate and postgraduate levels. Staff strive to help students understand the forces shaping modern economies, how to handle and work with them as managers, and how to lead the way for change.

The Bachelor of Business (BBus) degree is the mainstay of the undergraduate program and also contributes major sequences of study in economics and management to the Bachelor of Arts (BA) progam. The School offers a flexible approach to postgraduate coursework study with Master of Business (MBus) courses provided in on campus, distance and intensive modes. Graduate Diploma of Business and Graduate Certificate of Business coursework is also offered. The School has a dedicated staff supervising students following PhD and MPhil higher degree by research programs.

Research at the School of Business reflects the wide array of disciplinary backgrounds of its academic staff members, many of whom have achieved international recognition for their research. Some of the key research areas in the School are Institution Building in Fragile States; Human Resource Management and Employment Relations; Public Policy and Public Management; Defence Economics and Management; Decision Making Analysis; the Psychology, Sociology and Economics of Sport; and the Economics and Management of Innovation.

The School of Business has adopted an interdisciplinary approach essential for the study of business issues in a changing and uncertain world. This approach draws together work in economics, law, psychology, statistics, accountancy, finance, leadership analysis, history, education and project management.
